This is a good place to start a 14 mile run. Half way through you can hit the water at the camp ground area.

Great hiking trail that runs from the Lone Elk trailhead to West Tyson County Park. It's rugged and hilly at start and finish, but meanders along the Meramec River in between. Length of the trail from end to end is 7 miles. The trailhead on the Lone Elk side isn't inside of the Lone Elk park gates. There's a gravel parking lot to the right of the gates to park in for trail use.
Nice blend of uphill, downhill and flats.
